Juicy Eyes

We love homemade french onion soup around here. This time of year, I make a crockpot full about every other week. Last year, I taught BigBro how to make it, and together we wrote a haiku praising onion soup.

This morning, Princess came into the kitchen as I was chopping and sauteing onions. "Yum! Onion soup! Is that for dinner?"

Before I could respond, my creative, artistic daughter exclaimed, "Oh, I love onion soup, but cooking it always gives me juicy eyes!"

She then scampered out of the kitchen until all of the onions were in the crockpot.
